Summary Improve health and reduce poverty levels in Poor communities by constructing 20 hand-dug wells fitted with Tap to improve sanitation and reduce disease. Challenge The main problem of the identified project communities is poor health of the people. In the absence of portable water supply and sanitation facilities in the project communities, the rate of death associated with the ten most common diseases, which are preventable. Infant mortality rate is presently high.

 Seven out of every ten deaths result from diseases such as Malaria, Severe Diarrhoea and Upper Respiratory Track infection. Solution To solve the present problems, the proposed project's main goal is to increase health awareness on personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness, including other preventable diseases through public education in the project communities. Long-Term Impact The project will improve the quality of life for people, and reduce poverty, morbidity and medical expenses.
